Mumbai, Oct 29 : The BSE Sensex on Friday slipped by 127 points to open at 59,857.33 as selling was witnessed in Energy, Finance and Power stocks.
The Nifty too fell by 44.40 points at 17,833.05.The Sensex registered the days high and low at 60,034.28 and 59,104.58 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded the days high and low at 17,882.25 and 17,613.10 points.The Mid Cap rose by 0.28 per cent while Small Cap eased by 0.16 per cent.
In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.
The losers were Kotak Bank by 1.60 per cent to Rs 2064.45, HDFC by 1.53 per cent to Rs 2856, NTPC by 1.16 per cent to Rs 135.90 and Asian Paints by 0.77 per cent to Rs 3094.75.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.18 per cent to Rs 1327.50, M & M by 1.64 per cent to Rs 897.25, SBI by 1.36 per cent to Rs 508.20 and Bharti Airtel by 1.31 per cent to Rs 697.85.
