Panaji, Dec 8 (UNI) Goa reported 159 new cases of COVID 19 and zero death during the last 24 hours, taking the number of total confirmed cases in the state to 48,935 while number of total deaths so far stood at 701.
According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services, there were 146 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 46,924. Recovery rate in the state stood at 95.89 per cent.
On Tuesday, 128 new patients were sent for home isolation while 31 were admitted to hospitals. As many as 2142 new samples were tested taking the number of total samples tested so far to 3,63,062.
Number of active cases in the coastal state stood at 1310.
