Panaji, Sep 4 (UNI) Goa reported 508 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths due to the infections on Friday.
According to health bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services, with the new number of COVID-19 cases, the total number of confirmed cases in the state reached to 19,863 while tally of active COVID-19 cases in the state went up to 4896. With eight deaths, number of persons who had succumbed to the infections so far in the coastal increased to 220.
However, 386 patients were discharged from various facilities taking the number of total recovered patients in the state to 14,747.
On Friday, 2353 samples were tested, out of which 1631 were negative while results of 384 were awaited.
