Karnataka reports 1587 fresh cases of COVID-19

Bengaluru, Mar 19 (UNI) Karnataka has reported 1587 fresh cases of the COVID-19 disease in the last 24-hours taking the total number of people infected so far from the pandemic to 966689 on Friday.

According to official sources as many as 869 COVID-19 patients got discharged in the last 24-hours, after being completely cured from the pandemic disease.

The sources also informed that in the last 24-hours as many as 10 COVID-19 patients had succumbed to the disease taking the total number of fatalities to the pandemic to 12425.

The sources also informed that in the last 24-hours as many as 91884 people had undergone the COVID-19 tests including that of 6209 Rapid Antigen Detection Test. Bengaluru Urban district had reported highest 1037 number of COVID-19 cases followed by 61 in Kalaburagi,

50 in Tumakuru, 49 inMysuru, 47 in Dakshina Kannada and 35 in Hassan district, the sources added.
