Thane, Dec 19(UNI) Thane district in Maharashtra reported 445 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 2,38,105, district authorities said on Saturday.
While fatalities in the district have risen to 5,865 with 14 more deaths.
Authorities said that the recovery rate in the district was 95.57 per cent (2,27,575), mortality rate 2.46 per cent (5,865)and active patients were 1.96 per cent (4,667).
A break up of the city wise cases were, Thane 53,990, Kalyan 56,243, Mira Bhayander 25,001 and Navi Mumbai 50,042 .
A total number of deaths so far in these cities were, Thane 1,283, Kalyan 1,087, Mira Bhayander 777, and Navi Mumbai 1,025 .
An official from Palghar said that the total number of positive cases in the district till date was 43,820 and deaths were 1,176.
