The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 185 fresh Covid-19 cases and seven deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Wednesday.
The district headquarter report said that of eight districts, Osmanabad district reported 43 cases and 3 deaths, followed by Latur 9 cases and two deaths, Beed 107 cases and single death, Jalna 6 cases and one death, Aurangabad 15 cases, Nanded had three cases, Parbhani registered two cases and Hingoli nil.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 4,408 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 64,01,213.
The state also registered 116 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,35,225.
Meanwhile, 5,424 patients also recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 62,01,168.
The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 96.87 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.11 per cent.
At present, there are 61,306 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.
