Varanasi, Sep 3 (UNI) With 164 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the total number of cases increased to 8,506 in this Uttar Pradesh district on Thursday.
Official sources here said that out of the 2,113 test results obtained from BHU, 164 have tested positive. Out of the total 8,506 cases, 6,466 have recovered completely while 1,897 are currently undergoing treatment in Varanasi.
So far, 142 patients have succumbed to the contagion.
