Dy. Inspector General of Police, JSK Range, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, conducted checking in Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts with regard to preparation of security arrangements of Republic day celebration at Main Venues Including MMA Stadium Jammu, Sport Stadium Samba and Sports Stadium Kathua as well as present security scenario in Bathindi, Sainik Colony, Chatta, Parmandal Mohr, Bari Brahmna, Vijaypur, Samba Railway Station, Naka Lodi Mohr, Dayala Chack, Rajbagh, Nagri. Bambyal, Basholi. and Billawar,Mansar.,Vis Dhar Road, National Highway Jammu to Kathua with Concerned SSsP and other officers.
During the checking/inspection, DIG JSK Range Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, emphasized the importance of the safety and security of the participants/Public in the venue where Republic Day is going to be celebrate. He highlighted the need for meticulous planning and execution of security measures to address any potential threats and challenges.

All the officers were exhorted to implement operation third eye in their respective jurisdiction in coordination with other stake-holders for the foolproof security in their Area of Responsibility. Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthen all the nakas especially during night/wee hours. It was also discussed that proper liaison be maintained with all the intelligence agencies (Army/Para Military forces and other Central agencies) in their respective jurisdiction. Besides strategies to manage the expected high influx of participants, including traffic regulation, parking facilities, and emergency response measures, emergencies during the celebrations reviewed.
DIG JSK Range took the stock of security review including preparedness and also visited the Main Venue MAM Stadium and other venues of District Jammu, Samba and Kathua. He also instructed all officers to take all safety measures and keep the free flow of traffic on National Highway whose progress work is underway.
During enroute naka checking DIG JSK Range briefed the officers and Jawans regarding nature of duty and directed all the officers to remain extra vigilant during their duty hours. During checking DIG JSK Range also met with general public and requested them to immediately inform their concerned police station/police post if any untoward incident occurs or any suspicious movement found.

Instructions were given by DIG JSK Range to all the officers to keep active surveillance over the activities of OGWs, History Sheeters and Trouble creators. All the officers were directed to start area domination from early morning so that no any untoward incidence took place. Officers of Police Component were also directed by DIG JSK Range to activate all the SOG QRTs to deal with any kind of CI exigency.
