
Sarvesh Anand, Director of Gowan India, visited Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu and held discussions with Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and other senior university officials to explore potential collaborations under the university’s Industry-Academia linkage initiative. Dr. Shailendra Choure, Director, Saraswati Agrochemicals India Pvt. Ltd., was also present, and the meeting was coordinated by Prof. Sanjay Guleria, Incharge, Counselling and Placement Cell. The discussions focused on key areas such as efficacy evaluation and residue estimation of new agrochemicals developed by Gowan India, facilitating student placements to enhance industry exposure, and initiating joint research efforts in emerging areas like bio-rationals and advanced agricultural technologies. Additionally, it was agreed to organize regular industry engagement sessions to equip students with insights into evolving industry trends and requirements. This collaboration is expected to strengthen SKUAST-Jammu’s industry partnerships, enhance career prospects for students, and contribute to agricultural advancements through joint research and innovative product development.
