
NEW DELHI, July 4, 2025—The Disciplinary Committee of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, headed by former Delhi Minister Dr Narendra Nath, at a meeting held at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, unanimously decided to expel Krishna Nagar District Congress Committee president Shri Gurucharan Singh Raju for six years from all party posts for anti-party activity.
Addressing a press conference along with ex-MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj and members of the Disciplinary Committee, Dr Narendra Nath said that the party was supreme and no worker or leader should be above the party to indulge in anti-party activities, which are detrimental to the interest of the party. He said that “we are all the foot soldiers of the party and work under the framework of the party discipline, follow the policies and programmes of the party in letter and spirit”, which is the legacy of the Congress, the oldest political party in the country.
Dr Narendra Nath said that the Disciplinary Committee took a unanimous decision to expel Shri Gurucharan Singh Raju from all party posts for six years under Clause 19 ©/4 of the Congress constitution. The members of the Disciplinary Committee, besides chairman Dr Narendra Nath, consisted of Shri Shoaib Danish, Smt. Varyam Kaur, Smt. Onika Mehrotra and Shri Ashwini Dhawan.
Dr Narendra Nath said that the Delhi Congress Disciplinary Committee’s decision was communicated to chairman of the AICC Disciplinary Committee Shri Tariq Anwar AICC General Secretary (organization) Shri K.C.Venugopal.
Shri Anil Bhardwaj said that Shri Gurucharan Singh Raju was expelled from the party for 6 years by the Disciplinary Committee for anti-party activities.
