NEW DELHI, October 17, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav, along with AICC secretary Shri Sukhvinder Singh Danny, today flagged off seven vans equipped with sound systems and a vacant chair inside for residents to sit and give their views on how to improve the facilities and infrastructures to realize their dream of a vibrant, developed Delhi, which the Congress had turned it into during its 15 year rule, before the Aam Aadmi Party Government came and totally ruined the city with apathy, neglect, misgovernance and corruption. He said that Kejriwal, the Delhi Ministers and AAP MLAs have been going in and out of jail for various offences, and Congress will expose the corruption and failures of the Kejriwal Government during the rounds of the vans in all the seven Lok Sabha constituencies as part of the party’s outreach programme “Dilliwalon Aao—Dilli Chalao”. He said that people’s suggestions on how to make Delhi their dream city would be included in the Congress manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that when Congress announced its Manifesto Committees at an impressive function in Connaught place last week, a chair was kept vacant on the dais as a symbolic gesture, as the people of Delhi put the CM in the chair, but the Aam Aadmi Party had betrayed the trust and confidence of the people through corruption and incompetence.

Shri Devender Yadav said that the people of Delhi were looking upto the Congress to provide an able and stable government, as in the past 10 years, the Aam Aadmi Party had turned the Capital into a den of corruption. He said that it was a betrayal on the people of Delhi that elected CM Atishi kept the chair, used by Kejriwal when he occupied the top post, vacant hoping that he would return to power, but the voters of Delhi have already made up their minds to bring Congress back to power, as they were fed up with the corruption, inefficiency and blame games of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Shri Devender Yadav said that the Congress manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections will contain the suggestions received from the people as it was their opinions that would prevail in reshaping Delhi into their dream Capital.
