India’s Covid-19 tests crossed the 3 crore mark

The total number of corona virus tests has crossed the 3 crore mark in India, according to the data Indian Council of Medical Research.
ICMR said that, 3,00,41,400 total number of samples have been tested until 16th,August  along with 7,31,697 samples were  being tested
The Ministry of Health tweeted, “Focussing on timely and aggressive testing, India has exceeded 3 crore tests,” .
In India the tests for detecting Covid-19 have crossed the mark of 1 crore on 6th, July, while it crossed 2 crore mark by August 2.
Having started with one laboratory at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune and then expanding it  to 100 laboratories in the beginning of the lockdown, the ICMR on 23rd June validated, 1,000th testing lab.

According to Harsha Vardhan, Health Minister ,Total labs at present in the country testing for COVID-19 stand at 1,470, followed by  969 government labs and 501 private labs.

 COVID-19 count in India has grown to 26,47,663 till Monday with a spike of 57,981 infections in a single day, while the death tally has rose to the 50,000 mark with 941 new fatalities, stated in data of Union Health Ministry.

As per the data updated shows that recoveries rate has surged up to 19,19,842 .
The recoveries surged to 19,19,842, pushing  recovery rate nearly to 72.51 per cent.
