BJP alleges Jayarajan’s son got Rs 1 cr in Life Mission housing scheme

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 13 (UNI) Kerala BJP state president K Surendran on Sunday made a serious corruption allegation against the CPI(M)-led Left Government in Kerala, when he accused the son of State Industry Minister EP Jayarajan of having received Rs one crore as commission in the Life Mission housing scheme of the state.
Talking to mediapersons here, the BJP leader also sought Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s response to the allegation against the son of a minister in his cabinet.
Earlier, a news channel had alleged that Rs 4.5 crore was given as commission in the Life Mission scheme. However, only Rs 1 crore was seized by the investigation agency from the bank locker of Swapna Suresh, a key accused in the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case, Mr Surendran pointed out.
The rest of the money were distributed among others including EP Jayarajan’s son, he alleged.
Now, the ruling Left turned against the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Customs following the interrogation of Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel in connection with the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case. But, all the agencies had started the probe into the case after the state government asked the Centre to investigate the case,
