COVID-19: Delhi reports 142 new cases, two deaths

New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI) The National Capital on Thursday reported 142 new cases of COVID-19 while two people lost their lives during the past 24 hours. The fresh figures have taken the capital caseload to 6,36,529 while the death toll soared to 10,886.

According to health bulletin, 64,328 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past one day. The recovery rate remained steady at 98.12 per cent while the city’s cumulative positivity rate currently stands at 5.59 per cent.

Currently, there are 415 COVID patients under home isolation across the city who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms. The number of active cases are 1,051 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones as of Thursday are 844.

The health Department further said that a meeting of state steering committee for COVID vaccine initiative was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Delhi to review the COVID vaccination activities.
