Delhi reports ‘zero’ COVID deaths in past one day

New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) The national capital — Delhi — for the fourth time in this month has reported zero casualties during the past 24 hours. As many as 220 new cases were detected in the past one day. The fresh figures have taken the capital caseload to 6,38,593 while the death toll remained steady at 10,905.

According to health bulletin, 63,998 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past one day. The recovery rate has now increased to 98.10 per cent. The city’s cumulative positivity rate currently stands at 5.24 per cent.

Currently, there are 536 COVID patients under home isolation across the city who are mostly asymptomatic or the ones with very mild symptoms. The number of active cases are 1,169 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones as of Thursday are 550.

Expressing happiness over the zero fatalities, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said Delhiites’ efforts towards defeating Covid are paying off.
However, he cautioned the people that Covid is not over yet. “Wear your face mask and observe covid appropriate behaviour,” the Minister said.

The health Department further said that Additional Chief Secretary chaired a meeting through video conferencing regarding COVID vaccination.
