Entire nation is grateful to you, ITBP chief to troopers deployed on Uttarakhand BoPs

New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) Tracking to the Border Out Post (BoPs) along Line of Actual Control in Uttarakhand, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) DG SS Deswal, on the eve of the new year, said to deployed troops that entire nation was grateful to them for their commitment and dedication towards duty and safeguarding the nation’s border in tough climatic conditions on the Himalayan borders.

He tracked for 20 kilometers to visit Gurson top (12, 460 ft.) with the jawans and visited the BOPs of Badrinath, Auli and Joshimath on December 31.

Addressing the special Sainik Sammelans, the ITBP chief stressed the need to focus on the health and urged all personnel to keep their health and fitness at the top priority and asked them to ensure to exercise at least for two to three hours daily to lead a healthy life in tough Himalayan terrains.

On December 29, Mr Deswal communicated with all formations across the country through a letter and said, “The whole country saw how the Himveers on the border safeguarded the frontiers with bravery and excelled in all all spheres of duty domain”, he said.

“We are proud of the fact that without caring for own the ITBP personnel played a unique and very crucial role in Covid19 management and helped the nation in the pandemic mitigation and control at every stage”, Mr Deswal added.
