NC passes resolution condemning ‘vindictive action’ against Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) The National Conference (NC) on Wednesday passed a resolution, strongly condemning the alleged ‘vindictive action’ against its president and Member of Parliament (MP) from Srinagar, Farooq Abdullah.
‘We resolve that we strongly condemn the vindictive/ coercive action against party president Dr Farooq Abdullah. We stand fully with our leader and his unity mission in J&K. Our resolve to fight for the rights of people of J&K is undeterred by such action,’ read the resolution.

Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar presided over the meeting at NC headquarters Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar, an NC spokesperson said.
‘Party’s Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani; senior leaders Muhammad Shafi Uri Mian Altaf Ahmed, and Mubarak Gul; Members of Parliament Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi; Provincial Secretary Showkat Mir and Vice Provincial President Mohammad Syed Akhoon were present in the meeting.

‘Besides, Central Secretaries Irfan Shah and Mir Saifullah; Central Zone President Ali Muhammad Dar; South Zone President Dr Bahir Veeri; YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar; Syed Tauqeer and Peer Muhammad Hussain attended the meet,’ he added.
