Raj Babbar remembers Smita Patil on her 65th birth anniv

New Delhi, Oct 17(UNI) Actor-politician Raj Babbar on Saturday remembered actress Smita Patil on the occasion of her 65th birth anniversary.
In a post on Twitter, the actress’ husband, describing Smita Patil as ‘an artist of incomparable genius’, said her influence in his life had been quite meaningful.

‘An artist of incomparable genius, a person with such an emotional soul – fondly remembering Smita today on her birthday. You had such a short journey and yet your captivating presence is felt by all whose life you touched. Your influence has been so meaningful,’ Raj Babbar said.

Remembering the actress on the occasion, the All India Mahila Congress said, ‘We honour the cinematic genius of Smita Patil on her birth anniversary. She was deeply committed to the advancement of women’s issues and gave her endorsement to films which sought to explore the role of women in society, their sexuality, and changes facing the middle-class.’
