Kaushambi, Nov 3 (UNI) Three people, who were sitting on the roadside, were killed after a truck crushed them in the Saini Kotwali area here on Tuesday evening.
Police sources said that Dharmpal (50), Harishchandra (40) and one other person were sitting on a roadside near the Kanwar village turn at the Prayagraj-Kanpur national highway.
Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from Fatehpur, crushed them, leading to on the spot death of the trio. One of the deceased is yet to be identified.
Following the accident, the truck driver fled from the spot after leaving the vehicle.
Police are on the lookout for the absconding driver.
