SC junks Mah judge’s plea seeking action against court registry officials

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea filed by a judge from Maharashtra seeking action against its registry officials on the part of their alleged unprofessional and biased conduct with regard to listing of cases.
The Apex Court bench headed by Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde also comprising Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian was hearing a petition filed by Syedullah Khaleelullah Khan, a Civil Judge (Senior Division) of Washim.
The Maharashtra judge alleged in his plea that the registry of the top court was not treating all petitioners alike when it came to listing cases.
The bench quashed the petition asserting listing cannot be contrary to the Apex Court rules.
In his submission, the judge also had alleged that unfair treatment was being meted out to him and other ordinary litigants by delaying the listing and highlighting unnecessary defects.
