Thane, Mar 18 (UNI) With 1804 new COVID cases in last 24 hours, the tally has spiked to 2,80,732 in Thane district, an official said on Thursday.
Six death cases were also registered , following which the total number of fatalities has reached to 6355. The mortality rate was 2.26 per cent, he added.
So far, 2,63,139 patients have recuperated from the infection, which took the recovery rate to 93.73 per cent. There were 11,238 active cases in the district at present, the official said.
In neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count surge up to 46,967 while the death toll is 1,207 he said.
