Lucknow, Dec 31(UNI) Faced by pandemic and sudden rush of migrant labourers from other states during the lockdown, but still Uttar Pradesh government led by chief minister Yogi Aditynath did a commendable job to take the state to another height in 2020.
The preparations of the Yogi government beat every difficulty and set an example for many other governments. And so it is no surprise that in the year 2020, not only did the Yogi Government control the menace of COVID-19 but also effectively worked in sectors of health, employment, and education.
Construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Ordinance on conversion for marriage along with several other projects have earned the BJP government all kudos but still the opposition were at the logger heads with the government over different issues particularly on government’s action against the protesters.
World Health Organisation (WHO)too appreciated the Yogi government for its massive efforts to control t he spread of Covid 19 and the arrangements made by the government machinery to provide free treatment to the sufferers.
The bold decisions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath defeated Corona on one hand, on the other hand, it also increased the speed of development. Construction of Ram temple: With the foundation of the construction of a magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Yogi government rolled out the biggest blueprint for the development of Ayodhya and all the surrounding areas. Through Ayodhya, the Yogi government is preparing to include Uttar Pradesh in the list of the largest tourist destinations in the world.
Anti-conversion law: The Yogi government made a tough law against those who marry by tricking women by hiding their identity. The ‘Uttar Pradesh Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance 2020’ was such a legislation in this direction.
Criminals On Posters:The decision to paste posters at the intersections of criminals who molest women, of sexual offenders, the Yogi government decided to impose posters of such people to teach a lesson to those who misbehave with women.

Issuance Of Recovery Ordinance: The Yogi government issued a Recovery Ordinance to recover the loss of government properties that have been damaged by miscreants, rioters. The Yogi government decided to put up the posters of the those who disturbed peace and disrupted law and order by demonstrating riots.
Banned Cow Slaughter: By imposing a 10-year sentence on cow slaughter and a fine of Rs 5 lakh, it effectively banned cow slaughter.
Financial Help To Families Of Martyred Soldiers: The Yogi government increased the amount of assistance to the families of the martyred soldiers of the army and paramilitary forces from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
Police Commissioner System: Yogi government started efforts in Uttar Pradesh to revamp the police system by implementing a police commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida.

Bank Sakhi Scheme: Yogi government made a unique beginning to connect 58 thousand rural women with employment under the Bank Sakhi scheme.

Supported Migrants During Lockdown:The Yogi government took the bold decision to take migrant laborers to their homes during Covid. Along with bringing back the people of his state from other states through buses and trains, the Yogi government also transported labourers of other states to their homes.
Yogi government also gave an allowance of Rs1000 to 35 lakh labourers along with food and medicine during the lockdown.
UP Film City:The Yogi government decided not only to make the world’s largest and grand film city in Noida but also set the ground for it by ear-marking the land.
Jewar International Airport: The Yogi government also decided to construct the biggest airport of Asia in Jewar, Noida. The CM finalised the logo and design for the construction of Noida International Airport in 2020.
Construction Of Ganga Expressway:Yogi government started land acquisition for construction of Ganga Expressway in 2020 and cleared the way for its construction.
CM Jan Arogya Mela: In order to provide better health service nearby, the Yogi government launched CM Jan Arogya Mela in February, 2020. After a gap due to Covid, it has been decided to restart from January 10, 2021. As many as more 31 lakh persons got benefited while 32425 kids with malnutrition were identified and over2.39 lakh golden health cards were issued. Mission Rozgar:The Yogi government has targeted to provide a total of 50 lakh jobs. Out of these about four lakh government jobs have been provided in less than four years. Under ‘Mission Rojgar’, over 20 people have got under self- employment by December 2020.
ODOP Scheme:The Yogi government launched the ODOP (One District One Product) scheme in 2020 to promote local products. Also, the Yogi government took a major decision in 2020 to make MSME the backbone of the state’s economic development.
Ganga Yatra:The Yogi Government also made people aware of their river culture with the honor of faith in the Ganga Yatra from Bijnor and Ballia in January to be converged at Kanpur. Also, the organic agriculture was promoted all ng the Ganga which created l awareness among the people towards the environment.
Defence Expo: For the first time, the Defence Expo was organised in Lucknow. It aimed at promoting defence peoduction in the six nodes u der Defence Corridor- Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow.
Har Ghar Nal:In order to provide pipe drinking water in Bundelkhan and Vindhya region, the ambitious Har Ghar Nal scheme was launched at the initiative of CM Yogi.
Apart from these, the decisions of Yogi Government related to construction of new medical colleges, universities, houses for poor, community toilets, schemes for tribal employment also earned appreciation from all over.
