Palghar: In the wake of an increase in coronavirus positive cases, the administration has decided to impose a complete lockdown for five days in Maharashtra’s Palghar from Friday. More than 100 cases have been reported in the city in the last three days.
The lockdown will come into effect from August 14 and remain till August 18. During this time period, all shops and markets will stay closed. Dairy shops, as well as pharmacies, will be permitted to operate as per their normal timing. No home delivery by hotels will be allowed.
There will be a complete ban on private vehicles on the roads during the shutdown. Petrol pumps will not be permitted to sell fuel to private vehicles. As per the order issued by the Palghar district administration, government and essential services vehicles will be permitted to travel, reported.Banks and post offices will continue to operate during the lockdown in Palghar.
