- India reported over 4,000 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours for the first time as 4,187 people died of the virus. The coronavirus death toll in the country has now risen to 2,38,270.
- In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases, former defence doctors will provide online consultation on the eSanjeevaniOPD website to all citizens, said the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

- The court directions to the Centre came during the hearing on a petition pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic management in Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh.
