- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the pan India rollout of COVID-19 vaccination drive, which is the world’s largest vaccination programme.
- India’s first coronavirus vaccine shot was administered to Manish Kumar, a sanitation worker, at AIIMS Delhi today in the presence of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.
- India reported 15,158 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the country to 1,05,42,841, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated.
- Tata Motors Electric Mobility, a division of Tata Motors, on Friday tweeted, “Aajkal tere mere pyaar ke charche har akhbaar mein, sabko malum hai aur sabko khabar ho gayi!”, while tagging Elon Musk and Tesla, amid rumours of a joint venture between the two.
- Around 80 flights originating from and over 50 flights bound to Delhi airport have been delayed. Airport officials said that this is mainly due to dense fog and other operational reasons.
- Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane said on Friday that around 300-400 Pakistan-trained terrorists are waiting across Line of Control (LoC) to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir.
