- India’s power stations reportedly had an average of four days’ worth of coal stock at September-end, with reserves of the fuel running lowest in years.

- Bengaluru on Tuesday reported 201 new COVID-19 cases. Out of the 14 deaths reported in Karnataka, four fatalities were from Bengaluru Urban, the highest in the state .
