SKUAST-Jammu organises Induction Programme for 4th Year B.V.Sc & A.H
Students
The Division of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with Panav Biotech,
organized an Induction Programme for the 4th year B.V.Sc& A.H students of
F.V.Sc& A.H, R.S. Pura, as they step into the exciting and transformative journey
of Veterinary Medicine.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Hon’ble
Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished
dignitaries included Dr. M.S. Bhadwal, Associate Dean, F.V.Sc& A.H; Dr. J.S.
Soodan, Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, SKUAST-Jammu and Dr. Neelesh
Sharma, Head, Division of Veterinary Medicine; along with faculty members of
the Division of Veterinary Medicine and postgraduate scholars.
During the programme, the students were addressed by the dignitaries, who
emphasized the importance of developing strong clinical skills and effectively
integrating knowledge from paraclinical subjects into clinical practice for accurate
diagnosis and treatment. The speakers also highlighted the significance of
discipline—both in personal life and within the institute—as a key factor in
achieving future success.
A product presentation by Dr. Kanchan Gupta, Product Manager at Panav
Biotech, provided insights into the company’s veterinary innovations. This was
followed by a quiz competition organized by Mr. Kapil Rastogi, after which prizes
were distributed among the winners. As a thoughtful contribution to the academic
journey of the students, the company also sponsored a clinical examination kit that
will assist them during their clinical postings for the diagnosis of animal cases. Dr.
R.K. Bhardwaj, Professor, Veterinary Medicine compared the programme and
gave final vote of thanks.
