New Delhi, May 6 : BJP on Friday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the arrest of party leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga, and called his arrest illegal. As the drama around Bagga's arrest from his Delhi residence continued, BJP leaders including Manjinder Singh Sirsa, RP Singh, and Nupur Sharma held a press conference at the party headquarter here, and said the arrest was 'illegal'. "Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga has been illegally arrested. His father was taken to a separate room and punched... Delhi Police has also registered a case of abduction," BJP Spokesperson Nupur Sharma said.

Kejriwal calls BJP-led central govt ‘Ravana’

Bengaluru, April 21 : Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday termed the BJP government at the Centre as "Ravana" which had passed three agriculture laws out of sheer arrogance, but had to repeal it after 13 months of farmers' struggle against it. "Like Ravana, the central government was very arrogant that it did not need farmers. We explained a lot but centre did not listen. Finally, after 13 months, the central government had to bow before the farmers and withdraw all the three black laws. I salute the struggle of the farmers," he said addressing a farmers' convention here. The convention is being held to urge the state government to withdraw amendments to the land reforms Act and the APMC Act, and also demand a statutory guarantee for minimum support price. Kejriwal said even after 75 years of independence, the farmers' plight in the country is in bad shape.

New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday visited a polyclinic at Saraswati Vihar for the ''symbolic start'' of the third phase of the ongoing nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive and said that vaccination drive for the citizens in the age group of 18-44 will begin in the National Capital from May 3. Under phase III of the ongoing Covid vaccination programme beginning from May 1 onwards across the country, all people in the 18-44 age group will be eligible for inoculation. Mr Kejriwal said the Delhi government has already received 4.5 lakh vaccines and now they are distributing them in all districts. He appealed to every citizen that the vaccination is not walk-in yet, so please don't queue at the centres.
