Centre’s farmers’ welfare scheme ‘PM-KISAN’ completes two years

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) With an aim to augment the income of all Small and Marginal Farmers’ families across the country, the Central Government’s flagship programme for farmers’ welfare 'PM-KISAN' on Wednesday completed two years. Under the 'PM-KISAN' Scheme, an amount of 6000 rupees per year has been transferred in three installments of 2000 rupees directly into the bank accounts of the farmers.

Farmers’ protest: NH-24, Chilla border on Delhi-Noida link road reopens

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) The Delhi traffic police on Thursday said that National Highway 24, the route connecting Delhi with Ghaziabad has been opened. Delhi-Noida link road blocked by Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) since December 1 was also reopened on Wednesday night after the union called off its protest at Chilla border.

फरीदाबाद: 26 जनवरी समारोह और किसान आंदोलन के चलते पुलिस आयुक्त श्री ओपी सिंह ने फरीदाबाद के विभिन्न स्थानों पर जाकर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था का जायजा लिया। आपको बता दें कि सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर फरीदाबाद के चिन्हित स्थानों पर 25 से अधिक नाके लगाए गए हैं और 3500 से अधिक पुलिस कर्मचारी कानून व्यवस्था संभालने के लिए फील्ड में मौजूद हैं। इसी क्रम में पुलिस आयुक्त सबसे पहले सेक्टर 12 स्थित हुडा ग्राउंड में पहुंचे जहां पर 26 जनवरी समारोह का आयोजन किया जाना है।

Hoshiarpur, Jan 23 (UNI) Thousands of farmers on tractors, trailers and buses on Saturday left for Delhi to participate in the proposed tractor march on the Republic Day. Flags and banners were seen on tractors, cars and buses carrying farmers, including women belonging to various farmers organisations including Azad Kisan Committee, BKU Doaba, Doaba Kisan Committee and Ganna Sangarsh Committee Randhawa Sugar Mill, to Delhi on the route.

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) A day after the Government proposed to put the farm laws on hold for a period of one to one-and-a-half years, protesting farmer unions on Thursday rejected the proposal and reiterated their demand for a full repeal of three Central Farm Acts. 'In a full general body meeting of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha today, the proposal put forth by the Government yesterday, was rejected, ' a statement from Samyukt Kisan Morcha said.

Eleventh round of talks b/w Centre, farmers’ representatives begin

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) The eleventh round of talks between the Centre and farmers' representatives to end the logjam over the three farm laws began here on Friday afternoon. Protesting farmer unions on Thursday had rejected the Government's proposal to put farm laws on hold for a period of one to one-and-a-half years and reiterated their demand for a full repeal of three Central Farm Acts.
