New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday said that people aged over 60 and those above 45 years with co-morbidities will be inoculated at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres from March 1. The Minister apprised that the proposal was approved at a meeting of the Union Cabinet which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People will receive the COVID vaccine jab free of cost at government centres.

Moscow, Feb 24 (Sputnik) - Russia's single-day increase in COVID-19 cases fell to the lowest level since October 8, as 11,749 new cases were confirmed (down from 11,823 the day before), the coronavirus response center said on Monday. On October 8, 2020, Russia confirmed 11,493 coronavirus cases. "Over the past day, 11,749 coronavirus cases were confirmed across 85 regions, including 1,246 cases (10.6 percent) that were detected actively, with people showing no clinical symptoms," the center said, adding that the cumulative case count has now reached 4,200,902, with the rate of increase at 0.3 percent.

Besides, the country also reported 104 more fatalities in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 1,56,567. Now, the case fatality rate stands at 1.42 per cent.

Delhi High Court Chief Justice D N Patel administered them the oath of office. The judges of the High Court and family members of Justices Singh and Bansal attended the swearing-in ceremony. The Centre had notified their appointment on February 22.
