COVID: India to vaccinate senior citizens from March 1

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday said that people aged over 60 and those above 45 years with co-morbidities will be inoculated at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres from March 1. The Minister apprised that the proposal was approved at a meeting of the Union Cabinet which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People will receive the COVID vaccine jab free of cost at government centres.

Moscow, Feb 24 (Sputnik) - Russia's single-day increase in COVID-19 cases fell to the lowest level since October 8, as 11,749 new cases were confirmed (down from 11,823 the day before), the coronavirus response center said on Monday. On October 8, 2020, Russia confirmed 11,493 coronavirus cases. New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) India recorded 13,742 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, pushing the country caseload to 1,10,30,176, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
