Fuel prices remain steady for 17th day straight

New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) Petrol and diesel prices remained steady for the 17th straight day at their record highs across the country on Tuesday. Petrol price in Delhi stands at Rs 91.17 per litre while diesel is available for Rs 81.47. In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 97.57, while diesel costs Rs 88.60, data available on Indian Oil Corporation’s website showed.

BSF hands over two minors to Bangladesh in a goodwill gesture

New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) In a goodwill gesture, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday handed over two minors to Bangladesh on Thursday who came to Indian territories after crossing International Border on March 10. According to BSF, around 1350 hrs on Wednesday, the Petrol team of BOP Rangiapota under Krishna Nagar, sector headquarter in West Bengal apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals Milan Ali, 12 yrs and Sudeep Hussian, 12 yrs, both resident of Munshipur district in Bangladesh along with wheat bran sack weighing around 55 kgs.

Rupee opens flat at 72.83 against USD

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday opened on a flat note at 72.83 against the US Dollar on the selling of US Dollar by banks and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said. The domestic unit was seen steady despite a weak opening in the stock market. The domestic unit registered days high and low at 72.89 and 72.80 respectively, he added.

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) A team of Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested another accused in connection with the the Republic Day violence at the Red Fort complex, police said here on Wednesday. Thirty-year-old Maninder Singh was nabbed by a team of the Special Cell of the Delhi Police for his involvement in the violence during the tractor rally organised in protest against the three new farm laws passed by the Centre.

NIA files charge sheet against 6 in case relating to hoisting...

New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed charge sheet in a case against six accused in a case related to the hoisting of Khalistani flag at Deputy Commissioner Office Complex at Moga in Punjab by Cadres of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ)). The charge sheet was filed before Mohali NIA Special Judge under Sections 120B read with 109, 124A, 153B, 201, 204, 212 IPC and substantial offences thereof, Sections 10, 13 of UAPA and Section 2 of the Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act, 1971. The accused were identified as Inderjit Singh, Jaspal Singh 'Ampa', Akashdeep Singh 'Munna', Jagwinder Singh 'Jagga', Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and Harpreet Singh or 'Rana' or 'Ranjit Singh'.

ISRO designing space education as extra curriculum activity in schools

New Delhi, Feb 11(UNI) Indian Space Research Organization ISRO is designing space education and space technology as an extracurricular activity for schools. This is to utilise the Atal Tinkering Labs,which will have the endorsement of the Ministry of Education. Minister of State Jitendra Singh told the Rajya Sabha that ISRO has adopted Atal Tinkering Labs across the country in the field of space education and technology.

COVID-19: Delhi reports 142 new cases, two deaths
