China admits five soldiers were killed in Galwan clash last year

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI)The China’s People Liberation of Army has finally acknowledged for the first time that its five soldiers were killed in a violent clash with India in Galwan Valley on June 15 last year. According to the China’s PLA Daily, “Five Chinese frontier officers and soldiers stationed in the Karakoram Mountains have been recognised by the Central Military Commission of China for defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity in the border confrontation with India, which occurred in the Galwan Valley in June 2020.”

Another arrest made in Republic Day violence case, two swords recovered

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) A team of Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested another accused in connection with the the Republic Day violence at the Red Fort complex, police said here on Wednesday. Thirty-year-old Maninder Singh was nabbed by a team of the Special Cell of the Delhi Police for his involvement in the violence during the tractor rally organised in protest against the three new farm laws passed by the Centre.

R-day violence: One more accused arrested

New Delhi, Feb 10 (UNI) The Delhi police special on Wednesday said that it has arrested one more person in connection with the Red fort violence on the Republic day. The accused Ikbal Singh, who carried a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head, was arrested by northern range of Special cell from Hoshiarpur district of Punjab on late Tuesday.

New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) The Delhi Police has registered a named FIR against 37 persons, including Yogendra Yadav, Rakesh Tikait and Medha Patkar, in connection with the violence that erupted during the tractor rally on Tuesday. The FIR has been registered under 13 different Sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy, rioting, dacoity, use of deadly weapon during robbery and attempt to murder.

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) Indicating stern actions against the rioters and accused farmer’s leaders, the Delhi police on Thursday issued a ‘Look Out Notice’ against them, an official in the security set up said. On Wednesday, the Delhi Police issued notices to 20 farmer leaders asking them to respond in 48 hours as to why a legal proceeding not be initiated against them.

He will be visiting Shrushrut Trauma Centre and Teerath Ram Hospital in Civil lines areas here around 1200 hrs where the injured policemen have been admitted.
