Precaution doses to be from same vaccine as given previously: Govt

New Delhi, Jan 5 : The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday announced that the precaution doses for healthcare and frontline workers and those aged above 60 with comorbid conditions will be from the same vaccine as given previously.

India registers 13,508 Covid-19 cases, 164 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi, Oct 19 : India has registered 13,508 Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours, lowest case in 231 days, while the number of deaths climbed to 4,52454 with 164 more fatalities, according to the Union Health Ministry's data on Tuesday. The Ministry said, the recovery rate has touched 98.14 per cent as 19,470 people have recovered in past 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,34,58,801.

COVID-19: India reports nearly 35K new infections, 260 deaths

New Delhi, Sep 10 : India logged 34,973 new cases and 260 deaths due to the Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the union health ministry said on Friday. The latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 3,31,74,954 whereas the death toll has climbed to 4,42,009 according to the data.

India adds 43,654 COVID-19 cases, 640 deaths

New Delhi, Jul 28 : India recorded 43,654 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours pushing the case tally to 3,14,84,605, while the death toll mounted to 4,22,022 with 640 more fatalities, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday. According to the Ministry, the active cases rose by 1,336 to stand at 3,99,436. It is now 1.27 per cent of the total caseload.

India records 92,596 Covid cases

New Delhi, Jun 9 : India registered 92,596 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 2,219 casualties in the past 24 hours, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the country had recorded a 63-day low of 86,498 cases.

New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI) India on Friday recorded 1,32,364 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 2,85,74,350, according to Union Health Ministry's daily Coivd-19 report. Besides, the country also saw 2,713 deaths, pushing the total number of fatalities to 3,40,702. The death toll stands at 1.19 per cent.

India continues to record over 4 lakh daily infections

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) India recorded 4,03,738 fresh Covid cases and 4,092 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the overall caseload to 2.22 crore and fatalities to 2,42,362, Union Health Ministry said on Sunday. Out of these, over 37.36 lakh cases are currently active, comprising 16.76 per cent of the total infections, while over 1.79 crore people have recovered at 82.15 per cent.

Covid vaccines: Over 15 cr jabbed in India

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) India's cumulative vaccine coverage has exceeded 15 crore, the Union Health Ministry said here on Thursday. As per the provisional report, cumulatively, 15,00,20,648 vaccine doses have been administered through 22,07,065 sessions. These include 93,67,520 Health Care Workers(HCWs) who have taken the 1st dose and 61,47,918 who have taken the 2nd dose, 1,23,19,903 Front Line Workers (FLWs) (1stdose), 66,12,789 FLWs (2nddose), 5,14,99,834 1st dose beneficiaries and 98,92,380 2nd dose beneficiaries more than 60-year-old and 5,10,24,886 (1st dose) and 31,55,418 (2nd dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years, the Ministry said in a statement.

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) India on Thursday recorded a whopping 35,871 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, pushing the country caseload to 1,14,74,605, while the death toll soared to 1,59,216 with 172 more fatalities.

India records 24,492 new COVID-19 cases

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) India recorded 24,492 new COVID-19 cases after registering more than 20,000 cases for the sixth day in a row, taking the infection tally to 1,14,09,831, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday. The number of active cases in the country has increased to more than 2.23 lakh. At least 131 deaths were reported on Monday. The recoveries are 1,1007,352 and constitute nearly 97 per cent of the caseload.
