Mexico’s COVID-19 cases rise to 733,717

Mexico City, Sept 29 (Xinhua) Mexico reported 3,400 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its national total to 733,717, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 173 additional deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 76,603, the ministry added. Mexico’s government plans to formalize its participation in the COVAX Facility, a global initiative to ensure equitable access to any vaccines against COVID-19, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Tuesday.
