Sweden’s Prince, Princess test positive for COVID-19

Stockholm, Nov 26(UNI) Two members of Sweden’s royal family, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, have tested positive for COVID-19 and have gone into self-quarantine, the Swedish Royal Court announced on Thursday.

The Royal Court said that, both royals “are experiencing milder flu symptoms but feel well under the circumstances”. The royal couple along with their children, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel, are currently under quarantine, The Local Sweden reported.

Health authorities have begun the process of contact tracing, which includes King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, the King’s daughter Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel.

A spokesperson for the Royal Court said that the family was in close contact last Friday at the funeral for the Queen’s brother.
