The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, under the leadership of its president Shri Devender Yadav, organized a massive ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Karawal Nagar to back Shri Rahul Gandhi’s “One Man, One Vote” campaign launched in Bihar. The protest targeted alleged misuse of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to sideline genuine voters and boost BJP’s chances in upcoming Assembly elections.
The march, coordinated by District Congress Committee president Shri Adesh Bhardwaj, began from the DCC office at Burari, where party workers pledged to stand firm against what they described as systematic “vote theft” carried out in collusion with the Election Commission.
Shri Devender Yadav accused the BJP and RSS of attempting to undermine the Constitution by manipulating voter lists, echoing Rahul Gandhi’s charge that the Election Commission failed to answer questions on the sudden inclusion of over one crore new voters in Maharashtra before the Assembly elections.
Prominent leaders and workers—including former MLAs, councillors, local representatives, and hundreds of supporters—joined the Yatra, raising their voices against electoral malpractice. Yadav reiterated that the Congress is committed to protecting democracy and the Constitution, while accusing the BJP of stealing mandates to cling to power.
