NEW DELHI, August 19, 2025 – Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav expressed deep concern over the recurring hoax bomb threats targeting schools in Delhi. He criticized the BJP-led ‘Triple Engine’ Government, along with Delhi Police and intelligence agencies, for failing to identify the source of these threatening emails.
On Monday, August 19, at least 32 schools received bomb threat emails. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) confirmed that thorough searches of all schools found no suspicious objects. Despite this, the repeated threats are causing severe psychological stress for students and parents alike.
Shri Yadav highlighted that similar incidents have been reported in recent weeks, including hoax threats to 45 private schools and three Delhi University colleges on July 19, 2025, and other schools on July 18, 2025, and December 18, 2024. These repeated alarms have disrupted academic schedules and created ongoing anxiety in school communities.
He criticized the state government for focusing on other agendas, such as passing the fee regulation bill, while neglecting the serious issue of hoax bomb threats. Shri Yadav called for a comprehensive investigation to trace and apprehend the perpetrators, emphasizing the urgent need to restore safety and peace of mind in schools.
