- Following directions from DGP JK, Sh. Nalin Parbhat IPS, and IGP Jammu Zone, Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti IPS, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS, visited Kathua today. He conducted a joint inspection and review of the NHW Logate More Bridge, which collapsed recently, disrupting traffic on the Jammu-Kathua route. SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena IPS, SSP Traffic Rural Girdhari Lal JKPS, and Commandant IRP 18th Atul Sharma JKPS also joined the inspection, identifying alternative routes and planning traffic restoration.
Simultaneously, a high-level coordination meeting at DPL Kathua was held with NHAI officials, DC Kathua, SSPs, CRPF Commandant, SDRF officers, SDPOs, SHOs, DTI Traffic, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway. Special attention was given to tourists, patients, ambulances, and essential services. Officers were directed to keep control rooms active and mobilize field staff for effective public facilitation
