Jammu, September 15:
The Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) convened a key meeting to take stock of preparations for the upcoming Sharad Navratras, scheduled for September 2025. The session was presided over by Committee President Kr. Rajeev Charak, with active participation from Office Incharge Gulshan Kumar, along with Rahul Kumar, Dhruv Gupta, Sunny Kumar, Amarjeet, and several other members.
During the discussions, President Charak highlighted that since 1997, BFDC has consistently ensured smooth voluntary service at the revered Bawe Wali Mata Temple during Navratras. He appealed to the District Administration to organize an official coordination meeting at least a month before the festival to ensure timely arrangements and to resolve potential challenges for pilgrims.
Reaffirming the Committee’s commitment to public service, Charak encouraged volunteers to show humility and discipline while assisting devotees. He also announced that this year, new technological measures would be introduced to provide better facilities to visiting pilgrims.
In his special appeal, Charak requested devotees to avoid roadside parking near the temple, pointing out that three designated parking lots are available close to the shrine and should be used to prevent traffic disruptions.
Concluding the session, Gulshan Kumar thanked the volunteers and stressed the importance of wearing proper uniforms for easy identification in large gatherings. He also appreciated media representatives for extending coverage of the meeting.
Among those present were Tarsem Kumar, Tanish Mehra, Dinesh Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Vasudev Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Raman Kumar, Rahul Sangotra, and many other dedicated volunteers.
