Firefox Bikes rolls out Firefox Firestorm – a five-week virtual biking challenge tailored for all cycling enthusiasts

Firefox Bikes, India’s leading premium bicycle brand (a Hero Cycles Group company) has rolled out the 2nd edition of ‘FIREFOX FIRESTORM’ – a virtual biking challenge tailored for all cycling enthusiasts. Spanning over five weeks (29th August – 2nd October), Firefox Firestorm will challenge zealous bikers to test their skills, endurance, mental strength, and will-power.
Enabling riders of all skill levels to hit the road, the virtual edition adds a thrill to the activity in a way that is more attuned to the new normal. The challenge is intended to promote a culture of cycling as a way to stay fit and progress to a healthier regime. The virtual edition of Firefox Firestorm encourages riders to stay active, push away from a sedentary lifestyle and enjoy time on their bike while practicing social distancing.
In the 2nd edition of this virtual cycling challenge, enthusiasts will attempt a virtual ride across the length or breadth of India. Participants can choose from 2 routes across India. The ride kicks off on 29th August, and the participants will have 35 days to complete either the North-to-South or East-to-West trail.
Kargil to Kanyakumari (~3,800 Kms)Gandhidham to Imphal (~3,263 Kms)Once the challenge begins, participants can clock their rides anytime, anywhere during the challenge period using a tracking app and sync the data with the HDOR app. Participants will be able to track their progress, see their current ranking, and monitor their ride activities on HDOR app. The intent is to encourage people to ride often and make riding a part of their daily health regime, pushing themselves to build endurance and better their performance everyday.

All participants who complete a minimum of 300kms in 35 days will receive a digital certificate and a medal. Weekly prizes will be rewarded to 125 riders every week. 500 lucky Avid riders who clock a minimum of 1000 kms in 35 days will be honored with a Firestorm medal, e-certificate, and a Firefox jersey. And upon successful completion of the entire distance, 200 lucky pro-riders will be gratified with a Firestorm medal, e-certificate, and a personalised Firefox jersey.
