Rs 8-cr water supply scheme approved for Changar area: MLA

Kangra MLA Pawan Kajal on Wednesday said that Rs 8 crore has been approved for the drinking water scheme in Gahlian and the residents of Panchayats adjoining Gahlian, Thakurdwara, Ranital will be provided drinking water at an appropriate rate.
He said that the construction of Government ITI at Daulatpur and Government Degree College in Takipur is the contribution of the former Congress government.
Kajal ridiculed that some self-styled leaders of BJP are trying unsuccessfully to mislead the villagers by presenting false development figures to gain cheap popularity.
He said that the construction work of the drinking water scheme in the Changar area with a cost of Rs 27 crore is going on a war footing. With this, 24 hours drinking water facility will be provided to the residents of 12 villages and the villagers know that the construction of the drinking water scheme has been started during the tenure of the congress government and Congress MLA.
The delegation demanded starting the bus service of HRTC from Dharamsala to Bohard Kavalu- Ranital has also been raised for a long time. MLA Kajal assured the villagers to start the bus facility soon. The delegation was comprising of Panchayat head Satpal, Rajkumar, Gurjit Kaur, Kishori Lal, Gyanchand, Gurdial Singh, Ramswaroop, along with the heads of about a dozen of other panchayats.
