The BSE Sensex on Tuesday dropped 183 pts at 61,125.10 in opening trade, as almost all sectoral indices were in red.
The Nifty too slipped 66.23 pts at 18,24.90. Though, the Sensex opened on higher note at 61,430.77, up 122 pts it immediately went in red. Currently, it was trading at 61,125.10, down 183.81 pts.
The sensex registered days high and low at 61,475.15 and 61,014.33 pts respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 18,350.95 and 18,205.15 pts respectively. The Mid Cap eased 0.60 pc and Small Cap by 0.49 pc. In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.
The losers were Maruti Suzuki by 3.02 pc to Rs 8015.25, Ultracemco by 2.10 pc to Rs 7702.50, Tech Mahindra by 1.21 pc to Rs 1700.80, HCL Technology by 1.17 pc to Rs 1244.05 and Tech Mahindra by 1.16 pc to Rs 1701.65.
The gainers were Axis Bank by 1.77 pc to Rs 725.15, HDFC Bank by 0.55 pc to Rs 1529.85, ICICI Bank by 0.34 pc to Rs 822.15, M & M by 0.18 pc to Rs 901.85 and Titan by 0.16 pc to Rs 2601.40.
