Haryana govt should give Rs 5 lakh to families of deceased COVID-19 victims: Hooda

Chandigarh, May 19 (UNI) Former Chief ldMinister and Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda has asked the state government to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of Corona voters.
He also demanded that families with no earnings left should be given a pension of Rs 5 thousand per month and free education for the children of such families.
Hooda said that this assistance will reach the victim’s family only when the government conducts the correct survey fairly and transparently. Now it is not hidden from anyone that there is a big difference between the government figures and the actual deaths.
The government should conduct a comprehensive survey of the deaths in the Corona period to gather the correct figures. It should have a survey of every house, street, village, and city. The data obtained from the survey should be put on the website and made public so that every person can know how many deaths have been recorded by the government in the village or area.
Only if the government collects the correct figures will it be able to fight Corona in the future. Because experts believe that the third wave of the epidemic is yet to come. If the government will remain in confusion by turning away from the truth, the third wave, like the second wave, can prove fatal. Therefore, the government should help the victims by correct assessment of the ground reality and improve their systems.
Mr Hooda said that the encouragement of the Corona warriors who are standing in the front line fighting against the epidemic is very important. The government should announce the incentive amount for them. Also, a special insurance scheme of 1-1 crore rupees for doctors, medical staff, paramedical staff, and sanitation workers and Anganwadi, Asha workers, depot holders, police, daily personnel, media personnel, and all employees working out of the house For at least 50 lakh insurance cover plan should be announced
