Rs 250 cr allocated in budget for Rewari: Khattar

Chandigarh, Jul 28 : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that budget has already been allocated for every district of the state, under which Rewari will get Rs 250 crore.
Urban and rural local bodies will be able to make good use of it and the overall development of Rewari district will also be ensured, the Chief Minister said while addressing a press conference after participating in the programme organized at KLP College, Rewari on Wednesday.
Responding to a question, he said that the RRTS project will prove to be a boon for district Rewari. This project will connect Sarai Kale Khan of Delhi to the Birohar region of Rajasthan, which will directly benefit the Rewari region and will establish new dimensions of development in the district in the coming times.
Mr Khattar clarified that the land survey has been done for this project and the further process will be completed soon.
He said that once the work of Lal Dora is completed, the people of the village will also get facilities like regular colonies on similar lines of the cities.
A policy is also being formulated for the people having land outside the Lal Dora of the village. On the similar lines of development charge being levied in the cities, development works will be executed in rural areas too, he said.
Mr Khattar said that like in the cities, the State Government have started giving ownership rights to the leaseholders having 20-year old municipality property, a similar policy will also be made for the village in the coming time.
Responding to another question regarding the law and order situation in the state, the Chief Minister said that in a democracy, everyone has the right to express their opinion, but no one has the right to take law into their hands.
“Violence will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If still, someone tries to take law into their hands, then the administration will not hesitate from taking strict legal action against such violators,” he said.
After the press conference, the journalists also felicitated the Chief Minister for making the announcement of providing cashless insurance facility to the media persons.
