200+ Volunteers at Girgaum Chowpatty
Mumbai, November 7, 2025: In a powerful step towards fostering environmental
consciousness and community action, Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd., a trusted global leader in
innovative watches, calculators, musical instruments and label printers, joined hands with
SHEOWS, Allied Waste Solutions, Onika Social Welfare Foundation and Change Is
Us, to host the ‘Recycle Responsibly’ Mega Beach Clean-Up Drive on 7th November,
2025 at Girgaum Chowpatty, Mumbai.
The large-scale initiative witnessed the participation of over 200 volunteers, including the
leadership team from Casio India, Allied Waste Solutions, and volunteers from Change Is Us.
Together, they successfully collected over 1,250 kilograms of plastic and non-
biodegradable waste, reinforcing a strong message on the importance of recycling and
sustainable waste management.
This endeavour is stemmed from a vision to create long-term ecological impact through
corporate responsibility, youth leadership, and sustainable community action. The
‘Recycle Responsibly’ initiative served as a call to action for citizens to minimize waste and
adopt mindful recycling habits, perfectly aligned with Casio’s global commitment to
sustainability and the campaign’s mission to reduce, reuse, recycle waste and restore
India’s natural ecosystems.
