New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) An overwhelming 76 per cent of the total 86,961 new cases reported in the past24 hours in the country are located in 10 States/UTs.
Maharashtra alone contributed more than 20,000 cases and Andhra Pradesh reported more than 8,000 cases. As many as 1,130 deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. Of these deaths, 10 States/UTs account for 86 per cent of the fatalities in the past 24 hours due to Covid-19, an official release here said.
Maharashtra reported 455 deaths followed by Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh with 101 and 94 deaths, respectively.
