Arunachal Covid-19 case tally mounts to 8,869

Itanagar, Sep 27 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness spike in Covid-19 cases with detection of 198 fresh infections, taking the state’s caseload to 8,869.

Out of the 198 new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported the highest at 87, followed by East Siang 21, Changlang 14 and Tawang 12, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).

Ten each cases were also reported from Kurung Kumey and West Kameng, seven each from West Siang, Papum Pare and Upper Subansiri,, five each from Longding and Lower Subansiri, four from Lower Siang, three from Tirap, two from Upper Siang, one each from East Kameng, Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), Namsai and Kamle, it said.

Of the 87 cases from ICC, 33 reported from flu clinic TRIHMS, Naharlagun (other than flu clinic is two), 15 from paid quarantine testing centre, 10 from flu clinic RKM Hospital and nine from flu clinic Heema Hospital here, eight is reported from testing centre SQF, Lekhi, six from Banderdewa check gate and six from testing centre CCC-SOA here.

Out of the 21 cases from East Siang, eight reported from flu clinic, BPGH-Pasighat, 10 from flu clinic, PHC-Sille, three are military personnel and one detected from Ruksin check gate.

Barring 25, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, 167 Covid-19 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 6,397. Out of these discharged, highest were from ICC at 52, followed by Papum Pare 19, and Tawang 15.

Total active cases in the state stands at 2,458. Death toll at 14.
