Coronavirus tally in state crosses one lakh mark as 318 cases found on Tuesday

Ranchi, Oct 27 (UNI) The Coronavirus patients tally in the state on Tuesday crossed one lakh mark as a total of 318 cases of Covid-19 cases were detected across 21 districts of the state with which the overall tally has now increased to 1,00,224.

During the day 4 deaths were reported including 1 each from Bokaro, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum and Ranchi districts after which the overall death count has increased to 876 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.87 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,474 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 93,874. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 872. On Tuesday no case was found in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Khunti districts.

On Tuesday a maximum number of 127 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 43 in East Singhbhum, 28 from Bokaro, 21 from Palamu and 18 in Garhwa districts (top five districts).

A total of number of 506 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 179 from Ranchi, 42 from Dhanbad, 40 from Ramgarh, 31 from East Singhbhum and 29 from Bokaro.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 93 percent mark to currently stand at 93.66 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 31,67,543 samples have been collected out of which 31,52,647 have been tested and 30,52,423 have turned out to be negative.
