K’taka: COVID-19 cases spike to 566023

Bengaluru, Sep 26 (UNI) With the reporting of fresh 8811 cases of the COVID-19 diseases, the total number of pandemic cases in Karnataka has surged to 566023 in the last 24 hours.
According to the official sources, the number of COVID-19 related deaths also spiked to 8503 with the reporting of 86 fresh deaths in the same period. The sources also revealed that in the last 24 hours the number of COVID-19 patients, got cured also increased to 455719 with the discharge of 5417 persons in different hospitals across the state.
The Bengaluru Urban district, has reported fresh 4083 cases of coronavirus, followed by Ballari 462, Dakshina Kannada 430, Kopala 352, Mandya 255, Shivamogga 254, Kalaburagi 249, Bengaluru Rural 241, Hassana 239, Dharwada 232, Kolara 165, Chikkaballapura 164, Bagalakote 147, Davanagere 144, Tumakuru 141, Yadagiri district 133, Belagavi 132, Haveri 111, Chikkamagaluru 109, Uttara Kannada 104, Raichuru 92, Kodagu 79, Mysuru and Ramanagara 73 each, Chitradurga 70, Vijayapura 67, Chamarajanagara 63, Udupi 57, Bidar 56 and Gadaga 44.
The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted accounted for 4586780 including 1609345 Rapid Antigen detection tests so far in Karnataka.
