Marathwada region reports 2,467 new nCoV cases, 11 deaths

Eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra state reported 2,467 fresh cases during the past 24 hours, and 11 more deaths, the health authorities informed, here on Monday.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI shows that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad district was the worst affected with 1023 cases and five deaths, followed by Nanded with 566 new cases and 2 deaths, Jalna registered 308 new cases and single death, Beed registered 260 new cases and a single death, Latur registered 110 new cases and single death, Parbhani had 87 cases and single death, Osmanabad had 69 cases and Hingoli recorded 44 cases.
In the wake of resurgence in coronavirus cases across the region, respective districts administration has taken some measures to break out the chain of virus, like partial lockdown, Jantha curfew and other restrictions were announced last week.

As per official data, 16,620 cases which was highest in recent days and 50 more deaths were reported across Maharashtra, taking the state’s cumulative tally to 23,14,413 and the death toll to 52,861.

On the other hand, 8,861 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall number of recoveries to 21,34,072.
There are currently 1,26,231 active cases that are undergoing treatment across the state.
The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 92.21 per cent and death rate stands at 2.31 percent, the health department informed.
